We had a period where we knew the fishing was going to be really slow. We emailed ahead and told Jon this was the case but he came anyway. We did 1/2 a day and he realized that it would be slow, in fact. So, we postponed the trip and provided detailed instructions on waters in the far south of Alberta. Jon & Bill went down south and fished on their own and emailed "Hi Dave, I just wanted to thank you for not just taking us for a boat ride last week. You are a good businessman, few - if any - guides would do this! I enjoyed fishing down south. The xxx turned out to have no bugs but I can see the possibility. It had my favorite feature, no people. Caught some really nice rainbows on the Crowsnest and for a weekend only saw a couple of other fisherman. On the last day we fished the xxx and found some eighteen to twenty inch Cutthroats. A beautiful place. Thanks again for all of your directions. When you put next year calendar together let me know what will work. Thank you again"

I would expect that these compliments are common for you on these trips, but it really was the most enjoyable vacation I have been on in a long time. The solitude and serenity (no pun intended) from the trip was both spiritual and therapeutic for me. Definitely something I will not forget. Even the fabulous photos we took cannot begin to do justice to grandeur of the areas we visited. It has rejuvenated my love of angling and the outdoors.
