Fortress Lake Sight Fishing Fortress Lake offers one of the world's best opportunities to sight fish for large brook trout. August through the end of the season offers opportunities to cast to sighted fish. Brook trout may be cruising, holding along structure, or pods of brook trout may slowly be cruising the lake.
