| Fortress Lake Sight
Fishing
Fortress Lake offers one of the world's best opportunities
to sight fish for large brook trout. August through the
end of the season offers opportunities to cast to
sighted fish. Brook trout may be cruising, holding along
structure, or pods of brook trout may slowly be cruising
the lake. We use a variety of tactics, techniques, gear,
and flies in our pursuit. It is one of the most amazing
opportunities at Fortress Lake!

"The excitement of a trophy fish
accelerating to pounce on your fly right before your eyes is one of fly
fishing’s great addictions. Fortress Lake offers one of the most unique sight
fishing opportunities I have ever experienced. Its crystal clear waters and
large, co-operative brook trout make it the perfect location to test your sight
fishing skills. At Fortress Lake you can sight, stalk and cast to large
brookies using streamers, small nymphs and dry flies. It is a captivating
process and is one of the reasons Fortress Lake is my destination of choice for
my Sight Fishing Stillwater Schools."
