Ram River Canyon Hike
Each summer we host a
trek of the Ram River canyon. The idea is to share the
canyon we know and love with other like minded people.
It's not simply a bang 'em up catch-a-thon. As we host 4
anglers in joint camping and fly fishing, we focus on
the enjoyment of the fishing. Sure, some catch a ton of
cutthroat trout. Some of the cutts are big, but most
will be 6 to 18". The focus is on the hike of the
canyon, getting around several sets of waterfalls,
setting up some great photos and video, and the usually
seen bighorn sheep that line the canyon walls. Guests
bring their own food and gear, we provide the hike & fly
fishing guiding and share our experiences on the Ram R.
We'll ensure that everyone in the group is introduced
well in advance and that communication of joint efforts
in packing make for an ideal 4 day hiking trip.

Brown Trout
Expedition
We're adding a new
offering for 2012. We float a relatively quiet river for
4 days, camping along the way. Featured is a parkland
setting and a large river with a good population of
browns. Most browns will be in the 12 to 22" mark,
though there are some considerably larger. We'll also be
targeting this river in mid August to capitalize on the
hopper season and a smattering of stoneflies, caddis,
and mayflies. Streamer fishing will also be quite
effective.
-
We limit this trip
to 2 boats and 2 anglers per guide boat. You can
book one or all spots, but we must have a group of 4
total
-
Price is $1495 per
guest
-
Price includes all
meals, guided fly fishing, camp set up
-
Dave & Amelia
Jensen joint host.
-
Dates - late August & late
Sept, 2012.

Cutthroat Canyon Float
There is a fine
line of water conditions on our favorite cutthroat
canyon float. This 3 day trip offers 2 anglers
opportunity to float a seldom floated reach of river
with cutthroat trout and bull trout. The plan is for
late June to early July, you & a friend join Dave for 3
days and 2 nights of rafting, camping, and fly fishing.
Catch rates will be moderately good, the feel being a
fun trip in a remote, wilderness box canyon setting.
This trip does not
have set dates as it is up to you. Keep in mind that it
has to be the last week of June or early July.

Bull Trout
Safari
We've
steered away from this trip the past few springs as our
personal schedules have been quite full - catching up on
things after getting home from wintering in New Zealand.
In 2012, we will once again host a Bull Trout Safari
late April to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery and
generally low, clear mountain waters of our favorite
bull trout river. This 2 day trip focuses as an early
get away to enjoy a beautiful mountain valley and bull
trout still holding in their wintering pools.
For
this year's trip we will only host 2 or 4 people on the
trip. We will not set dates, we'll work with you to set
up a trip that works for your schedule. Late April -
early May is typically best.
Price
$795 pp/ based on 2 or 4.
